What We Do

HSG is a specialized X-ray procedure used to examine the uterus and fallopian tubes, helping us identify potential causes of infertility such as blockages or abnormalities. This safe, quick, and minimally invasive test plays a key role in diagnosing and guiding fertility treatment.

Procedure

The HSG procedure begins by placing a speculum in the vagina to access the cervix, followed by the gentle insertion of a thin catheter into the uterus. A contrast dye is then slowly injected through the catheter, filling the uterus and fallopian tubes. X-ray images are taken in real-time to observe the flow of the dye, which helps identify any blockages or abnormalities. The procedure usually takes about 10–15 minutes and is performed without the need for anesthesia.
